It is a very popular place for both locals and tourists. You can find many things to do here and around. You can canoe in the lake, swim or go on a bike tour around the lake. It is decorated with many old gifts. ) After walking here, we will walk to St. Peter’s Cathedral (Formerly known as St. Vitus Church, it is a Baroque building based on a unique round floor plan in the heart of old Rijeka. It was started in 1638 by the famous Jesuit architect Giacomo Briano. The construction, which was built on an old building, took more than 100 years to complete. It was completed in 1744. According to legend, it started bleeding after being shot in the face by a disgruntled local). From there we will drive to Trsat Castle and the Church of Our Lady (located on a hill overlooking Rijeka. The most interesting way to reach these attractions is via a beautiful way of the cross from the city center, which runs from Titov Trg on the Rjecina River to the Petar Kruzic Staircase and the pleasant road to Fran kopanski Trg. The Church of Our Lady of Trsat, a place of the cross that attracts many followers, is famous for the ‘miraculous’ icon of the Virgin, believed to have been painted by St. Luke. Later, it was converted into the Baptistery of John the Baptist in the 6th century. For this reason, it is also called the Baptistery. The most impressive aspect of the temple is the human faces on the 64 panels on the ceiling. In addition, the sphinx that can be seen even today at the entrance of the temple was brought from Egypt in the 3rd century AD, under the conditions of that time. It is known to be ancient even when it was brought.). We will visit the Temple together with the palace and go to Kasjuni Beach. It is also known as ‘Stari Most’ or ‘Old Bridge’ in the local language. 456 stone blocks were used in the construction of the historical bridge. There are towers named Tara and Halebiye at both ends of the bridge. The reason for the existence of these towers was to protect the city against possible attacks by the Tabakhane. The bridge, which is indispensable for Mostar, was first attacked by Bosnian Serbs in 1992, when the civil war was experienced. The bridge, which provided safe passage for 427 years, was completely destroyed in November 1993. Its reconstruction was started again in 1997 with the support of TIKA, UNESCO and the World Bank, and this process, in which the original stones were also used, was completed in 2004. ) After watching the river here and taking photos, we will go to the Neretva River (The lower part of the valley formed by the river, which has become an important trade route for the region since prehistoric times, is known as the largest and most valuable wetland in the Eastern Adriatic. The river, which hosts many creatures, including more than 400 species of birds, is considered one of the indispensable addresses of rafting tours due to its high flow rate.
